Each year, four annual prizes are awarded at HDR UK’s Scientific Conference which takes place in December.
Each year, four annual prizes are awarded at HDR UK’s Scientific Conference which will be taking place in December, in Birmingham.
These awards are for:
- The Scientific Conference Lightning Talks
- Impact of the year award
- Team of the year award
- Patient and public involvement and engagement award
These competitions are now closed for applications and nominations.

In addition to our annual awards, HDR UK also seeks to recognise good practises in reproducibility and celebrate hidden roles. Applications are closed.
Reproducibility Recognition
Reproducibility is central to HDR UK’s values. In an effort to recognise and reward practices which support reproducibility and reuse, applicants were asked to highlight any practices employed by their team that supporting reproducibility and reuse – such as (but not limited to) pre-registration, use of reporting guidelines, FAIR data, open-source software, registered reports, etc.
Hidden Role
Taking inspiration from the Hidden Ref, HDR UK want to celebrate the practices and people who have had an impact on research delivery such as, but not limited to: data stewards and managers, librarians, technicians, Research Software Engineers, Professional Services Personnel, Research Managers and Administrators. Tell us about novel solutions to knotty issues, the level of support provided, etc.
