Ina is a senior research analyst in the research department of an acute NHS Trust where she supports a broad portfolio of research studies from various specialties in their statistical analysis and design. She also coordinates the trust’s research data infrastructure and governance. Her research has focussed on using electronic health record data to predict clinical outcomes of medical and surgical adult hospital patients and to develop monitoring and early warning systems.

She has a background in Marine Science, having done a post-doc and PhD in Marine Optics and Remote Sensing (Physics) at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. She then moved into healthcare data science as a Research Fellow with the Centre for Healthcare Modelling and Informatics at the University of Portsmouth. Currently, Ina is also a level 7 apprentice in AI & Data Science.

Ina is a member of HDR UK’s Impact Committee, which meets monthly to select the most impactful outputs from across the HDR UK community.
