Caroline Jay is a Professor of Computer Science and the Head of Research in the School of Engineering at the University of Manchester. She is the Research Director of the Software Sustainability Institute, a UKRI funded national organisation that champions the role of software in research, providing training and community support and developing evidence-based policy.
