Philip Harfield is Health Data Scientist (Informatics), NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre, University of Bristol. He is the Bristol programme manager for the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative, working collaboratively with University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Trust to perform data discovery and data curation along specific clinical themes. Alongside Chris Davies from the CCG, Dr Harfield also co-chairs the BNSSG Population Health Management Infrastructure steering group that is developing the infrastructure roadmap for the Systemwide dataset. His industrial experience as a Chartered Engineer is helping to shape the realisation of research based on routinely collected data within the region.
