Martin Williams
Martin Williams and has over 25 years’ experience of leading research support and delivery organisations. He is currently Director of the National Office of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Design Service (RDS) and Chair of the RDS Strategy Group. In these roles, he provides strategic direction and oversight to the service nationally. He is also Director of RDS in the East Midlands. The RDS is a national network that supports researchers to develop and design high quality research applications to NIHR and other open, national funding competitions for health and social care research. Martin is an active member of local, regional, and national research groups and committees, including NIHR Strategy Board, NIHR Social Care Coordinating Group, and NIHR Incubator for Methodology Steering Group.
