Honghan Wu is a Professor of Health Informatics and AI at the School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. Before his current position, he was an associate professor at the Institute of Health Informatics (2020 May – 2024 April), UCL.
He current holds an honorary associate professor position at UCL, continuing his research projects and supervisions. Honghan is a former (2020-2023) Turing Fellow of The Alan Turing Institute and a former Rutherford Fellow (2018-2022) of the Health Data Research UK. He got his BEng and PhD degrees from Southeast University, China.
He worked in the IT industry for about six years primarily as a software developer before his PhD study. Prof Wu’s research focuses on the machine learning, natural language processing, knowledge graph and their applications in medicine.
