Alvina is a Lecturer in Health Data Analytics at the University College London Institute of Health Informatics. Her team employs a transdisciplinary approach to understand how we can improve health and healthcare systems using real-world data. She aims to discover ways in which diseases can be treated and managed more effectively by advancing data science at scale to help prevent the onset of diseases, improve early diagnosis and innovate therapy. Alvina is the Academic Lead for the Better Care Catalyst Project aimed at developing the first UK Informatics Consult framework where her team will work with clinicians and data scientists from the University College London Hospitals, Queen Mary University of London, University Hospitals Birmingham and the University of Birmingham.
