UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UK LLC) is the national Trusted Research Environment (TRE) in data linkage for longitudinal population research. It simplifies access to linked data for research in the public good, enabling discoveries through linked associations between health, social, behavioural, and economic research.

UK LLC brings together participant data from 20+ UK Longitudinal Population Studies (LPS) and links it to health data (NHS), administrative, socio-economic and demographic data (Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs) and place-based data, for public good research.

UK LLC is currently free to access to any ONS accredited researcher in the UK with a research question in the public good.

UK LLC provides a single simple application process for researchers to access these data within an ISO 270001 and Digital Economy Act accredited TRE managed by SeRP UK.

UK LLC places public trust at the heart of its activities, involving the public and participants throughout its governance and research project approval processes.

UK LLC is led by the Universities of Bristol and Edinburgh, with partners UCL, Swansea University, City St George’s University of London and the University of Leicester and is funded by UKRI, MRC and ESRC.
