The Centre for Trials Research at Cardiff University is one of the UK’s largest Clinical Trials Units. We conduct a broad range of studies, including CTIMPs, health and social care intervention trials, observational research, and systematic reviews. A key area of expertise is the use of routinely collected data, such as health systems data, across our research portfolio.

As part of HDR UK’s Transforming Data for Trials programme, we lead the development and delivery of training on using health systems data in trials. In Summer 2025, we’re excited to host two interns who will help expand our training video collection, contributing content aligned with their interests and the programme’s goals.
