Professor Sudlow OBE FMedSci is a clinical epidemiologist and Director of the BHF Data Science Centre, led by HDR UK. Her work promotes the use of large scale, collaborative, big data approaches to understand and tackle a wide range of diseases.

Cathie says:  “I am delighted to be elected as a Fellow to the Academy and look forward to helping advance biomedical research for the benefit of society.”

All new HDR UK fellows have been recognised for their remarkable contributions to biomedical and health science and their ability to generate new knowledge and improve the health of people everywhere.
