The Health Data Science Black Internship Programme highlights the vast scope of the health data science sector. This includes – but is not limited to – genomics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, clinical trials, data privacy, data standards, medical imaging and instrumentation, health data access, health inequalities, modelling, patient-public advocacy, policy, clinical trials and biostatistics.

This poster competition was introduced at the Closing Ceremony to increase awareness of the work that is taking place with our host organisation partners across the UK in academia, business, civil service, medical research charities and the NHS.

Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) is crucial to ensure research is meaningful and of quality. It is particularly important because data solutions can be used to answer important health questions and improve people’s lives (*based on PEDRI campaign feedback). Creating a poster is a creative way to share data and insights with everyone in an accessible and engaging way.

Below are some example projects that our interns have been working on during their summer internship. To view the poster in detail, click on the image.
