Vivian has a background in chemical engineering. Her passion for data led her to pursue a master’s degree in data science and artificial intelligence at the University of Hull.

Vivian’s interest in Health Data Science originates from a desire to contribute to solving problems in health care by applying methodologies used within data science. As one of her contributions to health data science, Vivian recently co-authored a publication titled “DeepCAI-V3: Improved Brain Tumor Classification from Noisy Brain MR Images using Convolutional Autoencoder and Inception-V3 Architecture.”

In this Internship with the Department of Health and Social Care, Vivian looks forward to expanding her practical skills, collaborating with health professionals, and adding her contributions to data science that will address health outcomes.
