Victoria Platt joined HDR UK as Director of Business Operations in January 2019. Victoria is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of high quality business and operational processes.

Prior to joining HDR UK, Victoria was Head of the Research Office at the University of Roehampton, the UK’s most research-intensive modern university. Victoria led the development and implementation of the University’s Research Strategy with focus on supporting high quality research outputs, research grant bidding, research data management, impact development, research ethics, researcher development, and postgraduate research student administration and development through the Graduate School.

Prior to joining the University of Roehampton, Victoria worked at Imperial College London for nine years across a variety of research support roles including: Operations Director for the Sustainable Gas Institute where she was responsible for all non-academic aspects of this £8.2m industry-funded programme; Corporate Partnerships Manager and Operations Manager for the Energy Futures Lab, Imperial’s flagship multidisciplinary energy research institute; and Strategic Research Coordinator for the Faculty of Engineering where she oversaw the Faculty’s REF 2014 submission.

Victoria has a degree in Geology from the University of Liverpool and a HE Dip in Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute.
