Valerie is a second-year medical student at Queen’s University Belfast passionate about expanding her knowledge beyond the clinical environment and developing a versatile skillset that combines medicine, business, and leadership.

As President of the African-Caribbean Society at Queen’s University Belfast, she has gained valuable experience in project management, strategic leadership, and event co-ordination. Her role has allowed her to identify and address gaps in markets to boost engagement to deliver impactful events.

Valerie is also a social media officer for Melanin Medics, which requires her to identify current social media trends that can be used to promote organisational growth, honing her skills in content creation and public speaking.

She aspires to build a career that merges her passion for medicine and business, with a particular interest in cosmetics. Valerie is committed to acquiring the expertise and experience that will allow her to excel in these fields.
