Timothy Adegbola is a data science professional with a background in electrical engineering and over five years of combined experience in teaching, mentoring, and applied analytics. He began his career as a lecturer in engineering before transitioning into the field of data and artificial intelligence to pursue his passion for improving health outcomes through technology. He holds a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Salford and previously worked with Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, where he developed a natural language processing (NLP) framework to analyse patient feedback and support service improvement initiatives.
Currently a data instructor/coach at Multiverse, Timothy is dedicated to equipping the next generation of data professionals with the skills and mindset needed to solve real-world problems using data and AI. Through this internship at Keele University, he hopes to deepen his experience in health data science — particularly in the areas of infectious disease, cancer, dementia, and bioinformatics — while contributing meaningfully to impactful research that drives better patient outcomes.
