The motivation behind this application stems from my origins and heritage from seeing the devastation caused by COVID-19 and Tuberculosis (TB) within my home country Malawi.
Being a part of this internship, I believe, would not only help me gain knowledge and understanding of health and data science research as well as ways in which you can use technologies to improve the diagnosis of various conditions/diseases within Sub-Saharan Africa.
My undergraduate project, “Using Machine Learning To Diagnose Respiratory Medical Conditions,” inspired me to explore further within the health data sector.
