Temi is a final year BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science student at the University of Bradford with a strong passion for research, particularly in medical microbiology, clinical science and health data science. An ardent believer in healthcare reform, he aims to use his internship to analyse data on healthcare inequality, particularly with regards to pre-term birth and maternal mortality. With this, he intends to contribute to the efforts to make healthcare more egalitarian and accessible to all, with an emphasis on: ethnicity, gender, class/socio-economic status and ability. He hopes to use this internship to hone his skills in statistical analysis, by working with Excel and specialist statistics software such as SPSS. Looking ahead, he aspires to improve healthcare outcomes, whether through a career as a medical barrister or by pursuing post-doctoral research in medical microbiology, infection and immunity.
