Stephanie joined Health Data Research UK as a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager in October 2024. She is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and has over seven years experience in community and stakeholder engagement and involvement in Northeast local authorities as well as across voluntary, community and education sectors.
Stephanie’s role includes ensuring the active and innovative involvement of patients and the public in shaping HDR UK’s work and building partnerships with patients, public communities, and practitioners. She supports HDR UK’s Public Advisory Board and HDR UK’s key initiatives, including the newly established Brain Health partnership.
Prior to joining Health Data Research UK (HDR UK), Stephanie worked as the Partnerships and Engagement Manager within the Voice team at the National Innovation Centre for Ageing based within Newcastle University. Stephanie was responsible for driving public involvement best practice through managing a national network of university stakeholders, recruiting and growing a diverse public voice community, developing an interactive digital engagement platform and building long term strategic collaborations.
