Professor Simon Ball is Executive Medical Director at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust. He is a Consultant Nephrologist and a Past President of the British Renal Society. His research includes development and evaluation of biomarkers in transplantation but has now pivoted to the use of healthcare data to learn from and improve on the delivery of healthcare.
