I am a graduate of MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence (Distinction) at Teesside University with a final thesis that focused on Explainability of AI Models in Diabetes Diagnosis. My professional and academic research focus is on how AI recommendations in medical diagnosis would gain the trust of clinicians, patients and the public at large for a wider acceptability of AI innovation in healthcare delivery. I am very passionate about the rising role of AI in healthcare delivery both on an individual patient and nationwide level.
Prior to my MSc Applied AI at Teesside University Middlesbrough, I obtained BSc and MSc in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria as well as a Mini-degree in Business Analytics from Udacity USA, and I worked as Business Data Analyst for a corporate organization in Dubai and as a Lecturer for one of the Federal Government higher institutions in Nigeria.
With my intermediate skills in MS Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python programming, and Machine Learning, I hope to contribute my quota towards HDRUK’s effort to improve healthcare delivery in the UK through big data analytics. I am excited to be part of this internship opportunity with a goal to gain hands-on experience in using big data analytics to make informed decisions in healthcare management and explore opportunities to advance my career in this field.
