I am taking a career break from my role as a statistician at NHS Blood and Transplant to complete a MSc in Medical Statistics and Health Data Science at the University of Bristol.
I have been working at NHSBT for five years and have performed different roles at the organisation within this time. My most recent role was as the lead statistician for deceased donor kidney transplantation. I decided to take time out and do this course to improve my statistics and data science knowledge and hope these skills will help me develop in my role at NHSBT.
I am grateful to have been awarded this scholarship by Health Data Research UK and Kidney Research UK. I am really looking forward to starting the course and developing my statistical knowledge.
