Sam is a research associate/postdoctoral fellow associated with the HDR UK Cambridge site. Sam’s research focuses on the development, reporting, and evaluation of Polygenic [Risk] Scores (PGS), a method used to predict an individual’s genetic predisposition for traits and diseases. As part of this research, he leads the development of the Polygenic Score Catalog (www.PGScatalog.org), supported by HDR UK. The PGS Catalog is a new resource to increase the transparency and reproducibility of PGS by distributing the information necessary for both research and translational uses of PGS for a wide range of diseases and traits.
