Sami is an MSc computer science student at Queen Mary University of London with a strong interest in data science, data analysis, data engineering, and the application of machine learning to solve real-world problems. Through his academic projects, including developing predictive models using over 5.7 million flight records, he has developed a strong foundation in Python, SQL, data analysis, and machine learning.
Sami is particularly interested in applying these skills to healthcare and is keen to deepen his understanding of bioinformatics, including biological data analysis, computational workflows, and the infrastructure required to manage and process large-scale genomic and clinical datasets. He is also eager to explore how cloud technologies can be used to develop scalable, secure, and reproducible data pipelines within this domain.
Through this internship, Sami hopes to gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experienced professionals, and further develop his technical expertise while contributing to projects that have a meaningful impact on healthcare and patient outcomes.
