Sally is Programme Manager for the Big Data for Complex Disease Research Driver Progamme, providing support for the day to day running of the programme.

Sally’s responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Senior Programme Manager, Co-Directors and Theme Leads to support day to day delivery of the programme
  • Supporting BDCD Researchers to access the data that they need for their BDCD research projects
  • Supporting cross-HDR UK Driver Programme activities to develop tools and generate insights which support the wider health data research community.

Sally joined HDR UK in April 2021 as Project Manager for the International COVID-19 Data Alliance (ICODA) initiative supporting Grand Challenges ICODA pilot projects on a day to day basis. More recently Sally was Capacity Development and Engagement Manager within the HDR Global team, working with partners and researchers leading exemplar studies to identify capacity development needs in relation to data infrastructure and governance and community and stakeholder engagement, and support the development and provision of relevant training and resource.
