Raqiya is a first-year computer science and mathematics student at Queen Mary University of London with a passion for using data to improve health outcomes. Her experience as an NHS 111 health advisor showed her the impact of health data in guiding care decisions. She also developed technical and teamwork skills through coding projects, hackathons, and data analysis using R and Python.

Through this internship, Raqiya aims to gain practical experience applying health data science to real-world challenges, strengthen her technical skills, and learn how data-driven insights can improve patient care and health systems. She is excited to contribute to meaningful projects that support better healthcare outcomes.
