Paul Lambert is Professor of Biostatistics within the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester where he co-leads the Biostatistics Research Group. He has part time position (30% FTE) with in the Biostatistics group at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institutet. His research interests lie primarily in the statistical analysis of electronic health record data.  He leads methodological and applied work mainly in the areas of cancer utilizing linked cancer registration data with much of his work in the area of survival analysis in epidemiology. His applied work includes international comparisons of cancer survival. He has written software to implement the various methods he has developed to aid the transition of novel methodology into practice with methods and software he has developed used worldwide.
