Professor Wood’s research focuses on the frontiers of big data and epidemiology, underpinned by major population resources and informed by applied questions of major population health and clinical importance.
Professor Wood is Joint Director of the Cambridge HDR UK Regional Network. In October 2024, Angela took on the role of Co-Lead/Programme Director of the Big Data for Complex Diseases Driver Programme (alongside Mark Lawler). In addition she is the HDR UK Training Lead for the Cambridge region and member of the Molecules to Electronic Health Records Driver programme.
