Praise is a second year biomedical sciences student at Edge Hill University, currently on track for first-class honours, with a strong commitment to innovation and impact in global health. With research experience from leading biotech companies like Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Immunocore, she has worked across molecular biology, automation, and immunology – combining wet lab skills with coding in Python and R.
Most recently, she completed a research project investigating the effect of PESTANAL pesticide on endometrial receptivity and spheroid attachment during implantation, gaining independence and lab confidence. Her passion lies at the intersection of science and social equity – particularly in using research and data to improve health outcomes for Black communities. Praise is deeply committed to representation in science and believes data should tell diverse stories.
At Sanofi, she is excited to grow as a data-driven changemaker, expand her network, and contribute to work that improves lives worldwide. Whether it’s in a lab or behind a dataset, she’s ready to shake up the norm – with precision and purpose.
Why I joined the Advisory Group:
I joined the HDR UK Alumni Advisory Group to help create a more connected, visible, and empowering community for emerging researchers in health data science. Having experienced first hand how initiatives like HDR UK can transform access and opportunity, I’m passionate about paying that forward – amplifying underrepresented voices, supporting mentorship, and strengthening collaboration across the network. I believe the Alumni Network plays a vital role in bridging talent, research, and innovation, and I’m excited to contribute my perspective to help shape an inclusive space where alumni can continue to learn, grow, and make meaningful impact in health data research.
