Peter Bath is Professor of Applied Health Data Analytics in the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) and Professor of Health Informatics in the Information School at the University of Sheffield.  Peter’s interest in Health Data Analytics involves the use of statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify factors associated with health outcomes among older people.  As part of this work, he has been involved in extensive analyses of the Nottingham Longitudinal Study of Ageing (NLSAA) and the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA). Peter’s research interests also include the use of health information by different patient groups and people affected by life threatening and terminal illnesses share information in different online environments. Peter is Co-Director of the Education and Training Cross-cutting theme for the Better Care Northern Partnership.

Peter is the HDR UK training lead for Medicines in Acute and Chronic Care and for the Northern Region.
