I was in the Health Data Science Black Internship Programme in the summer of 2022. I am currently a PhD student in Food and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Reading. My PhD research focuses on increasing pulse consumption in UK adults, using bread as an example product and the impact on cardiometabolic health. I became interested in health data science through research in obesity and nutrition during my undergraduate Physiology degree after which I studied for my Master’s in Clinical Research (Diabetes and Obesity) at Imperial College London.
