Ope Awofadeju is studying medicine at the University of Birmingham. As part of the HDR UK internship programme, she is exploring the role of health data science in improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.
She has a strong interest in how data can be used to support clinical decision-making and enhance patient care. Through this internship, Ope hopes to gain a deeper understanding of real-world health data research, develop practical skills in data analysis, and learn how collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches can drive improvements in public health.
