Myron’s career bridges pharmacy, data science and health informatics. After completing an MPharm and undertaking a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology at Keele University, he developed early interests in health outcomes research and predictive analytics. His doctoral work explored adoption of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors and built mathematical models using CPRD‑linked data to improve lipid‑lowering therapies. Postdoctoral research at the University of Nottingham and NHS Digital deepened his expertise in cohort validation and AI‑driven rare‑disease detection, laying the groundwork for his current role as Health Informatics Manager at Sanofi. In this position he designs and delivers AI algorithms that identify at‑risk patients in partnership with the NHS, and supports global projects on electronic health‑records.

Myron pursued the HDR UK Black Internship Programme because he saw an opportunity to translate his academic skills into real‑world impact while contributing to a more diverse health‑data workforce. The programme’s emphasis on paid, hands‑on projects and mentorship in a field with significant under‑representation resonated with him. It provided a launchpad to apply his technical qualifications—Python, R, SQL and Agile product management certifications—toward improving patient pathways. Today he continues to support the programme as a mentor and host, fostering the next generation of inclusive health‑data scientists.
