I am Marilyn Ologe, a medical doctor by background with a Master of Public Health from University of Bradford. I am currently rounding up a Data Analytics Internship with the NHS England- North East and Yorkshire Analytical Team.

I am particularly interested in combining my passion for healthcare with my interest in public health and data analytics. I have aimed to use my internship to analyse data pertaining to emergency department wait times and the inequalities that surround these across different variables such as age, ethnicity and deprivation. This will highlight areas of focus and open the discuss and opportunities for strategies to tackle these inequalities effectively.

I have honed ‘hard’ skills such as advanced Microsoft Excel and beginner R programming skills as well as ‘soft’ skills like written and verbal communication of findings with stakeholders and great team collaborations. Moving forward I intend to use what I have learnt in advancing my career in clinical medicine and public health.
