Liz became the Chief Operating Officer for Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) in September 2024. Liz acted as Interim COO for HDR UK since April of the same year, and was also HDR UK’s inaugural COO when the institute was first established in 2017/18.
Liz is responsibile for HDR UK’s business strategy, capacity building, communications, finance & risk, health & safety and people team.
Liz has joined from the University of Edinburgh where her most recent role was as College Registrar for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. She is a molecular biologist by training but after 7 years in the biotechnology industry moved into public sector operational management roles.
