Dr Liam Coyle is a Respiratory Resident Doctor and PhD student based at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine in Queen’s University Belfast. Liam’s PhD project is titled “Earlier intervention and Remission in Severe Asthma.” He aims to explore current thresholds for initiating biologic therapies and if prediction of progression to these thresholds is a feasible method of earlier intervention, as well as exploring other potential metrics as markers for biologic initiation, using large UK based data sources. Other aims of his project include exploring clinical remission definitions from a patient perspective.
