My name is Khanyisile Gqubule. I am currently a master’s student at the University of Sussex. I am completing my Master of Science in Human and Social Data Science. I am interested in health equity, health data science, digital health, and public health policy. I was born and raised in south Africa and that has fuelled my passion for healthcare and improving access to healthcare services, addressing social determinants of health, and using technology to help improve healthcare systems.

I intend on pursuing a PhD program in the field of healthcare economics and actively participate in public healthcare policy research. I look forward to interning at an organization like the UK Health Foundation that shares this same vision and has a track record of using data analytics to tackle real world problems in health and social care.  I look forward to improving my analytical skills and gaining deeper insight into the healthcare sector.
