I am currently a master’s student of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the University of Hull. I was motivated to apply for this internship because of the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop my skills in the field of health data science, while also contributing to important research projects that have the potential to benefit society, particularly cancer research.
Last year, I had an ordeal where I thought I had a brain tumour. This experience has made me empathise with cancer patients and recognise the significance of research aimed at developing solutions to cure the disease. Thanks to HDR UK and Cancer Research UK for giving me the opportunity to contribute towards cancer research because since my experience, I have always wanted to contribute towards the advancement of cancer treatment using my skills and resources.
