Katy Turner
Associate Professor in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Bristol Veterinary School
Katy Turner is Associate Professor in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Bristol Veterinary School, University of Bristol and honorary AP at School of Population Health Sciences, Bristol Medical School. She leads a highly multidisciplinary research team, focussing on the evaluation of interventions to control infectious diseases using a variety of mathematical modelling, data analytic and computational methods to inform public health policy decisions. Her main research interests are in sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhoea, chlamydia, herpes) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in humans, animals and the environment (One Health). She is director of Sexual Health Improvement Programme (SHIP) a Bristol Health Partners Health Integration Team. Katy is collaborator/project lead for Health Protection Research Unit in Behavioural Science and Evaluation.
