I am undertaking an MSc in Data Science at University College London with the support of Health Data Research UK. I am excited to pursue the further study of new data science techniques, and their applications to a variety of research fields.
I previously studied Mechanical Engineering at University College Dublin, Ireland. Upon graduation, I joined the Irish Central Statistics Office where I was seconded to the Irish Department of Housing.
My most recent position as a Research Assistant at the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences greatly encouraged my interest in health care. This role helped me understand the potential impact of health data research, and its effect on patient health-related outcomes.
I am honoured to receive support from HDR UK with the Stroke Association for the next step in my academic career, and I am looking forward to applying my studies to have a meaningful impact on stroke research.
