Jennifer is a third-year medical student at the University of Birmingham with a strong interest in addressing health inequalities. Through her studies, she has become increasingly aware of the disparities faced by different populations and is motivated to help address them. She is also interested in how genomic analysis can support public health by identifying risk factors and helping to personalise interventions.

Through the internship with Public Health Wales, Jennifer hopes to build on these interests, strengthen her data and skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how health data informs policy and improves population health.
