Jemma joined Health Data Research UK in July 2024 as a Service Support Manager. She focuses on supporting the Health Data Research Innovation Gateway, including onboarding new metadata and supporting researchers and users with all aspects of the Innovation Gateway service. The Health Data Research Innovation Gateway is a portal enabling researchers and innovators in academia, industry and the NHS to search for and request access to UK health research data.
Before joining Health Data Research UK, Jemma worked as a Regulatory professional with over seven years’ experience working in global Pharmaceutical Regulatory Data Sciences for Pfizer. Prior to working for Pfizer, Jemma gained worldwide experience as a Senior Business Process Analyst.
Jemma loves data and is always keen to get the most value out of it. Finding ways to make it more understandable and more accessible – not only for medical research professionals or regulators – but for patients and their families, too.
Jemma has a first-class honours degree in Biomedicine from the University of London and a strong interest in cancer biology and genomics, and how new therapies are developed, evaluated and implemented.
