Janet joined HDRUK as Strategic Lead – External Funding in September 2024. Janet has a background in Economic Development and External Funding initially in both local and central government. Since 2008, she moved to the Higher Education sector and focused specifically on supporting research funding applications with several roles in the University of Edinburgh and also in Edinburgh Napier. With a particular specialty in supporting researchers applying for EU funding, Janet has worked with a full range of research funding sources at both an operational and strategic level and at pre and post award.
