Humu holds a BSc (Hons) in biochemistry from the University of Warwick. Through her academic background in the life sciences and experience across research, business development, and startup environments, she has developed a strong interest in the intersection of genomics, health data, and technology.
Humu is particularly interested in how genomic and health data can be used to advance precision medicine, improve patient outcomes, and drive innovation across healthcare. She is keen to explore the responsible use of data and artificial intelligence in healthcare, with a focus on ensuring that emerging technologies deliver meaningful benefits for diverse populations.
During her internship at Genomics England through the HDR UK Black Internship Programme, Humu hopes to strengthen her analytical and technical skills, gain practical experience working with health and genomic data, and contribute to impactful research that supports the future of data-driven healthcare.
