Hazel Keys
Hazel is the Academic Programme Manager in the Training and Capacity Building Team at HDR UK. She manages the Masters Scholarship Programme, the HDR UK Alumni Network and the Wellcome PhD Programme. She also support the development of central HDR UK Early Career Researcher initiatives across research programmes.
With a career rooted in the health and higher education sectors, Hazel has extensive experience in project and change management, strategy development, and project management. Prior to joining HDRUK Hazel served as an operations manager at the NIHR funded Leicester Biomedical Research. Prior to this she led partnership initiatives for the University of Leicester in access and widening participation before moving into CPD training and programme management. Having gained a BA in Anthropology at Sussex University , Hazel is passionate about supporting access, developing training and leading EDI initiatives.
