Hamdan is a second-year biological sciences student at UCL, focusing on genetics. Throughout his degree, he’s developed an appreciation for how data can be used to improve lives on a large scale.
He is excited to be interning at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), where he will be investigating cardiovascular health in East Asian and European populations. During this internship, Hamdan aims to improve his skills in R programming and deepen his understanding of how biobanks can be used in population health research. This project aligns closely with his future goals of working in population health and data-driven research.
