Gifty is currently studying an MSc in health data science at the University of Birmingham after completing an undergraduate degree in biomedical science at Cardiff University. Her interest in this field took off during her undergrad, where Gifty became fascinated by how data can be used to understand complex biological systems and improve healthcare. She is especially interested in machine learning, epidemiology, and how they can be applied to inflammation and immunology research.
Gifty looks forward to building on her skills, working with real health data, and learning from a team of passionate people through the HDR UK Black Internship Programme. She hopes to make a meaningful impact and connect with others who are just as enthusiastic about using data for good.
