Dr Ewan Carr is a Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Statistician and Research Fellow at the Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics, King’s College London. He gained his PhD in Social Statistics (University of Manchester, 2014) and previously worked at the Research Department of Epidemiology & Public Health, UCL.
He is interested in applying novel statistical techniques to longitudinal and routinely-collected clinical datasets to better understand heterogeneous treatment effects and to unpick interactions between mental and physical health. His current projects centre around the BRC theme of “Bioinformatics and Statistics” and include prediction modelling, latent variable techniques (CFA, LCA), multilevel modelling (growth curves), and time series modelling (dynamic SEM), with collaborators at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, GSTT and KCH.
