Emma Crawford
Emma Crawford is an Associate Principal Statistician, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Statistics in the Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) organization at MSD UK. Emma holds a MSc in Medical Statistics from London School Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Greenwich.
Emma has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 9 years, starting as an industrial placement student in clinical pharmacology with Pfizer and then after graduating was working as a late phase clinical trial statistician in clinical research organizations (CROs) before her current position at MSD.
Emma has been volunteering with PSI for almost 8 years with the Careers and Academic Liaison Committee (CALC) where she is currently involved in planning the annual medical statistics careers event and which saw her awarded the Mick Godley award at PSI Conference 2022 for her services to PSI. In addition, Emma is also an active member of the HTA European Special Interest Group (eSIG) where she has co-ordinated the response to EUnetHTA21 public consultation on behalf of EFSPI as well as being involved in the organization of eSIG meetings and EU HTA external engagement activities, including the HTA eSIG sessions at PSI Conference 2023.
Emma currently lives in London with her husband and two miniature dachshunds named Pepperoni and Chipolata.
