Elvis is currently studying for an MSc in economics and data science at the University of Bristol. He also holds a BSc in economics and accounting from the University of Leicester.
He will be working with the University of Bristol’s medical department, and Is particularly interested in how AI can be applied in healthcare. Elvis’ passion for health data science comes from reading about how neural networks can accurately and precisely predict cancer cells, something that is especially important, as cancer remains one of the leading causes of death.
He has a strong foundation in multiple programming languages, including R, Stata, SQL, and Python. During his internship, he hopes to deepen his understanding of the relationship between health and data science, and how this relationship can be used to improve people’s daily lives.
