Elizabeth Waind joined HDR UK in September 2021 to lead on communications and engagement for the UKRI Trusted and Connected Data and Analytics Research Environments (DARE UK) programme.

Prior to joining Health Data Research UK (HDR UK), Elizabeth was Communications & Engagement Manager for Administrative Data Research UK (ADR UK), an Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) programme transforming the way researchers access the UK’s wealth of public sector data for research in the public interest. ADR UK is a key partner of the DARE UK programme, and Elizabeth brings the knowledge and expertise developed during her time with ADR UK to her role in HDR UK.

Elizabeth has an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Birmingham and an Erasmus Mundus master’s degree in Journalism, Media & Globalisation jointly from Aarhus University, Denmark and Hamburg University, Germany.
